Bonfire is a solo violin project built entirely with live loops and fully improvised, recorded in one sitting, with no edits or overdubs. Cinematic, ambient, and emotional. Each piece feels like lighting a match to a memory. Watching it burn, glow, and fade. It's music meant to be experienced like a fire: free, exposed, alive. Each track invites the listener into a space where emotion leads and logic fades.

After over a decade of high-profile collaborations from Hans Zimmer’s The Lion King and Stevie Wonder to Jon Batiste’s American Symphony. Bonfire marks a return to Tixier’s most personal voice. The album was born in a time of change: a cross-country move, a university professorship, U.S. citizenship, and a TEDx talk on the beauty of unpredictable discovery. It is his first solo release since Brooklyn Bazaar (Sunnyside Records, 2016).
